ENDLESS DREAMS

There is no specific time in your life that your dream is realized. You may have started at an early age. You may have started later in life. You've plan every aspect of how you were going to work toward your dream. You even have it down to when it all will happen. Okay we got that! So what happens when your plan does not work? At least right away. Reality starts to creep in. For example, as a musician you dreamed of being on stage playing your instrument you've practiced and practiced with and now you are playing behind a big name artist, and it didn't happen. Say it did happen and you did get on stage and you are performing behind a big star. Your dream doesn't live or go on forever. Even the big star that people pay to see, their dream doesn't go on forever. You ask, what is my point. Well, we must prepare ourself for the fact that dreams don't go on forever. I met so many people that enjoyed the fruits of their success, thinking it will go on forever. They short changed their self, because they believe that the dream will never end. You have record producers, thinking they will be writing hits for the rest of their lives, live longer than the rest of their life, and find themself broke. No one is buying their songs. You have successful business people that lived a life of a successful person, who forgot sometimes success comes to an end. You may find your self at the age 65, with no income, no social security, no savings or investments to carry yourself past your retirement age. The pro basketball player, football player whose dream to be a millionaire and party, buying 3 houses, 5 cars and spending money like there is no tomorrow. Well tomorrow finally comes around and you are on the last year of you contract with nothing to show for the time you were in the league.Taxes is due on the 3 houses and 5 cars. The party is over, no one wants to hire you because you are too old. You are broke, and your body is broke down to get up and go the work. Now is the time to wake up and start preparing for the uncertain future that is before you. As a kid, it was okay to have fun, but to balance the fun is to have a serious discussion about your future. Unless you have a rich relative that put you in their will. Take the time to think about what if everything you dreamed doesn't come to past. You may be all by yourself with no money, no place to live and unable to work. Look around, because that homeless person could be you. Teach your kids as a parent that they can follow their dream, but give them the wake up call that all dreams are not forever. Teach them to prepare for that rainy day, because that rainy day can be a storm and get them prepared for it.
