When trying to explain to others it needs to be focused, to the point, Simplified so no questions can derail the journey. In business a contract spells out what is required of all parties. A breakdown of responsibilities, cost, etc. Writing a song the song needs to tell a story within 3 minutes, it has a beginning, a middle, and a end. When bring in cowriters, musicians, engineers, background vocals, producers everyone needs to know what is expected. This is your support. All that are involved needs to know what part of the whole they play in your vision. Are you going to pay them or, is it done for free? When others are needed, legal terms need to be iron out. As you can see even getting support there is a need to have an understanding in writing to keep everyone on the same page. When I was in the military contracts were used to enlist me into the Air Force. It gave a record to the government of my time in service, what was expected of me and what was the responsibilities of the government to have me go out and do what the government needed for my services. So as you continue your dreams as part of your team it maybe that a team member that is an attorney to represent your interest should be there for advise and guidance.
